Obituary for Anong Luangxay (Draiphoom)
LUANGXAY, ANONG - On Saturday, November 14, 2020, after a brief illness, Anong Luangxay, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at age 71.
Anong was born on July 23, 1949 in Yasothon, Thailand to Mr. Seela and Mrs. Thongkham Traipoom. She married Khamla Luangxay and together they emigrated to Canada with their three children Xaynarong, Vongvanna, and Vatsana.
She was a member of the Lao community and attended the Lao Dhammaram Buddhist Temple faithfully. Anong was well respected by many friends and family and was known for her infectious smile, kind words, and compassionate spirit.
Anong was preceded in death by her husband Khamla. She is survived by her three children, Xay, Vong and Vat, her remaining family in Thailand, and many nieces, and nephews.
A service in her memory will be held on Wednesday, November 18th, 2020 at the Kitchener Funeral Home & Crematorium on 3 Forwell Rd, Kitchener, ON with visitation at 1 o’clock p.m followed by a funeral at 2 o’clock p.m.
