Charles Allen McConnell (Charlie)

Passed away at Freeport Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Monday August 9, 2021.
Loving and devoted husband to Lillian.
Devoted father to Marie, Beverly, John.
Sadly missed by his many friends and especially his grandsons Chad and Cory.
Charlie worked for Rosen Metal Company for 36 yrs, and became a broker with his own trucking business (McConnell Trucking).
Charlie enjoyed his home and called it his abode and loved the outdoors especially gardening.
He was a regular at Tim Hortons each day no fail for many years. Was liked by many staff members and made many friends along the way.
Charlie was a very kind man, willing to help others if asked
Will be sadly missed by his family, neighbours, and friends he made in his life.

He Only Takes the Best

God saw that he was getting tired,
A cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him
and whispered, ' Come with Me.'

With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped breathing,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes " the best".
