Gordon Norman James passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, November 27th, 2020 at the age of 85. He is survived by his partner, Lorraine, and his three sons: His eldest, Norman James, Norm's wife Melissa and their two children, Ericka and Evan, his second son, Patrick James, his wife Noelle, their boy, Preston, and his third son, Michael James.

Gordon, was born in Toronto in 1935, the fourth youngest of nine children who made up The James Clan belonging to Albert James and Jessica Lawrence. "Gordie" was a friendly, caring and affable brother to his siblings and devoted son to his parents, always putting family first. That dedication was no more fierce than following the birth of his three sons. Gord set his own interests and ambitions aside to focus on raising his boys, which for many years he did by himself as a single father. The sacrifices he made to keep his children focused, safe and on course in pursuit of a better life are nothing less than heroic.

Gord's family members, both close and extended, are beyond grateful for everything he did for them. From his eldest son to his youngest grandchild, from his loving partner to his many friends and colleagues, appreciation for his decades of love and loyalty runs deep. It'll never be forgotten. And always be honoured.
