HOFER, Herbert Florian (1955-2022) Herb passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022, at Freeport Hospital. 

The youngest of 7 children, Herb is now reunited with his father, Florian, his mother, Mary (Brenner), his sister Rosemarie McPherson, brother William (Bill) and brother-in-law D. Jack Eby.  Herb is survived by his brothers Joseph and Carl (Margaret), sisters Annemarie Eby and Theresa (Brian) Sippel, and brother-in-law Paul McPherson, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Herb worked at Hoffman Meats until their closure, followed by a lengthy career with the City of Kitchener Public Works in the Parks and Road Maintenance departments. Herb enjoyed playing hockey, golf, and fishing with friends, as well as spending time at Mallory Beach with his loved ones.

His family expresses their thanks and kindness to the staff of the Juravinski Cancer Centre, St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamilton, and the care team at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener. A private cremation has taken place.
