It is with profound sadness that her family announces the passing of Jian Sun on October 03, 2022 at Grand River Hospital, at the age of 60.

Beloved wife of Zhenming Hu, and a caring mother to daughter Yijing and son Kevin, Jian will be fondly remembered by her brother, Peng, her sister, Wen, and many relatives and friends.

Jian was that rare altruistic soul who always placed the well-being of others above her own. She devoted her life to being a wonderful wife, a loving mother, and a caring person to others. She was a hard worker at Grand River Hospital for sixteen years until she fell ill. Her actions live on in the anecdotes given by her friends, family members, and coworkers, and her husband and son were fortunate to hear many of them while she was battling cancer.  

In her spare time, Jian loved arts and crafts–she loved to knit, and she had a beautiful singing voice. But, on top of everything, she had a remarkable sense of humour and tenacity that never failed to bring a smile to her family’s face. She will be missed dearly but never forgotten. 

A Funeral Service in memory of Jian will be held on Saturday, October 08, at 10:30am, at the Kitchener Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 3 Forwell Rd, Kitchener ON N2B 1W3. Cremation will take place following the service.
