Obituary for Kathy Joan Johns

Kathy Johns (Katherine Joan Johns) passed away peacefully in her 55th year on June 3, 2021, at Innisfree House in Kitchener, after living courageously with ALS for two years.

Beloved companion of Brad Jolliffe, dear sister of David (Sherri), loving aunt to Gregory and Trevor, and a cherished member of the Jolliffe family, Kathy will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by family and friends. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Robert and Joan Johns, and her dear grandmother Doris Johns.

A railroader by profession, Kathy worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 22 years and volunteered enthusiastically for many years at the Halton County Radial Railway near Rockwood, and Port Stanley Terminal Rail in Port Stanley. Kathy had a love of the outdoors and a passion for gardening; she will be best remembered by those who knew and loved her for her vibrance, limitless energy, sincerity, and above all her willingness to help others.

In consideration of Kathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations can be made to Innisfree House or the ALS Society in Kathy’s memory.
