Beloved husband of Nalini Basil and dear father of Junior and Melissa (Faizal). Loved son of the late Ivy and Philip Achan. Nalini, Melissa and Junior:
My sincerest condolences in the loss of your husband and father. Leslie often gave me words of advice when I helped to care for Junior. He was a loving father who was deeply devoted to his family and my heart goes out to all of you. May all your cherished memories of him help to bring you peace and comfort at this very sad time.

I'm truly sorry for your loss and want you to know that Leslie’s name will always be remembered by me.
I have know Leslie since he came to Canada. We were close together like brothers. He was so kind to anyone who needed help. Leslie was a kind and generous man.
We used to reminisce over coffee at Tim Hortons for hours. He would always tell me how much love he had for his family.
Wishing you all peace and comfort as you remember your dad,
May his soul born in higher caliber of souls.

I am a hemodialysis nurse and will miss Leslie's smiling face and warm greetings every time I saw him. He knew us all by name and was so kind and thankful to all the staff. He always talked about his wonderful family and how proud he was of his son and daughter. He will be missed by the staff and fondly remembered. My deepest condolences to your family.

As hard as it is to put my thoughts to word, I want to start by saying thank you for being a wonderful father-like uncle to me, Uncle Leslie. You have that loving and caring personality that can make anyone feel like one of your own.

Although I miss you very much, I am thankful for all the happy memories I share with you. I am especially reminded of the times I’d come to your house before and after school everyday during my time at Queensmount. You always made sure as soon as I came that I ate something and you would always watch me walk to school. I always felt your care and concern.

Losing you has shattered the family but your your values and qualities will continue to shine. Your courageous personality lives on in Melly and Junior. They are so strong and I know you couldn’t be more proud of them.

I pray that you are happy and resting in Shri Krishna’s Abode. I love you always. Until we meet again, Uncle Leslie ❤️
