Leslie Basil was born on March 17, 1957 and passed away on May 27, 2020 at the tender age of 63.
Beloved husband of Nalini Basil and dear father of Junior and Melissa (Faizal). Loved son of the late Ivy and Philip Achan. He was predeceased by his brothers Esau, Steve and Howard as well as his sisters Diana and Norma. Loved brother of Greeta (Roshan), Jean (Goonie) and Jesse. He will be missed dearly by his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Leslie was born in Berbice, Guyana and immigrated to Canada in 1988 where he married. He worked for many years as a security guard in Guyana and then as a labourer at Stack-A-Shelf woodworking company in Canada for much of his working-life.
Leslie loved to garden, go for long walks, and socialize with family and friends.
He worked hard in all aspects of life and loved his family unconditionally.
