Obituary for Madonna Ellen Brett (Carey)
It is with great sadness that the family of Madonna Ellen Brett (nee Carey), announces her passing after a lengthy battle with illness on the morning of Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the age of 68 years.
Madonna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Dave, and their children, Carey (Amy), Chris (Kayla) and Colin (Maria). Madonna will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Aynsley, Connor, Charlotte, Cayden, Julie, and Blake. By her sisters and brothers, Gord (Patricia), Matt (Patricia), Mary (Eric), Bill (Carolyn), Kitt (Angus) Pierce (Lorna), Howard (Madonna), and Jackie (Doug), and her many many nieces and nephews, and extended families.
Madonna is predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Bridget, and her parent in-laws, Gabriel and Joan.
The family would also like to give special thanks to the staff at the Multi Organ Transplant Unit at University Hospital in London, for their unwavering care and support.
Madonna had requested there not be any formal service or visitation. She will be cremated in a private ceremony on Monday, March 16th
