Obituary for Nikola Lukac

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Nikola Lukac on April 8, 2022.

Nikola was born on December 10, 1966, in Slavsko Polje, Croatia to his parents Milica (Galogaza) and Djuradj Lukac. Nikola was nicknamed Bak by his friends in elementary school which carried on throughout his life. He completed high school and gained a diploma in oil and gas drilling in Zagreb, Croatia. Nikola also finished military academy with a specialization in atomic-biological-chemical warfare.

At the age of 29, he got married to Ljiljana and in 1998, he moved to Canada with his wife. In 2000, he was blessed with a daughter, Tara.

His lifelong passion was motorcycles and he was a member of the amateur competition race events Canada with his Suzuki motorcycle, number 71. Nikola enjoyed many years racing side-by-side with his buddies at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Shannonville, and Calabogie.

He is known for his hard-working nature, unique sense of humour, self-lessness, and generosity. 

Nikola is survived by a loving family – his mother Milica, his wife Ljiljana, and daughter Tara. He made a major impact on numerous people and he will be deeply missed by many,  including his numerous uncle,aunts, cousins and friends.

Nikola’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Kitchener Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 3 Forwell Road, Kitchener.

Funeral service will be at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 700 Fischer-Hallman Rd, on Saturday April 16, 2022 at 11 a.m.

Interment Williamsburg Cemetery. - Serbian section at   12:00 noon  Saturday April 16, 2022.
