Obituary for Rondha Dennis (Parasram)

Rondha Dennis (Parasram) passed away suddenly on Friday March 12, 2021 at the age of 45 years.

Born in Kitchener on Thursday November 13, 1975 to Padmawattie (Rita) and Dalip Parasram, Rondha lived much of her childhood as an only child and always wished for a brother. Her wish came true when she was 12 when she joyously named her brother “Daniel” from the Karate Kid movie.

Rondha was a very loving child and a caring sister to Dan. She was always a kid at heart and could always relate to her younger brother effortlessly. As she matured, she became more of a sister to her mother than a child. At age 17 Rondha welcomed her step-father, Geoff Culley, who proudly cherished her as the daughter he’d always wanted.

Rondha attended the Ontario College of Business and graduated as a legal assistant. As it turns out, there was more work to be found on the business side of her training, so Rondha found herself working for financial institutions including TD Bank, Citigroup and finally at a small credit agency as a personal credit analyst and advisor. Always knowledgeable and professional, Rondha excelled at financial sales at TD and Citi, and quickly became a senior analyst for the credit agency.

Rondha married Gordon Dennis in 2007 and they recently celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary. Their marriage did not bear any children, but they did spoil their dog Shadow. Rondha was a very practical person with simple tastes and enjoyed reading, camping and watching movies.

Rondha is survived by her husband Gordon, her parents Rita and Dalip, her brother Dan, her step-father Geoff, her mother and father-in-law Fran and Ray Dennis, her brothers-in law Jeff and Mel Dennis, her grandmother Esther Singh, her step-grandparents Ken and Joyce Culley, and her many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

To celebrate Rondha’s life and her contribution to the lives of all those who were lucky enough to know her, there will be two viewings at the Kitchener Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 3 Forwell Rd., Kitchener ON N2B1W3 (www.kitchenerfuneralhome.com). The first viewing will be on Thursday March 18 from 2-4 pm and the next from 6-9 pm. Final tributes will be paid to Rondha on Friday March 19 at 11:00 am. Through the website you can book to attend her services in person. Zoom meetings are also being hosted - please contact the home for details.

Memorial donations in memory of Rondha can be made to the Brahmrishi Mission of Canada, 525 Bridge St. East, Kitchener, Ontario, N2K3C5 (you can donate through their website: www.brahmrishimission.org).
